‘STOP PRESS SKY NEWS’ – Croxley C notch up 1^st game win 7 – 2 !!!!!!
On a calm evening perfect for tennis the fully manned Croxley C team ( Spider & Mike Coster, Doug & Steve Peoples, Steve Crocker & Lee Stafford ) were fully prepared to take on Elstree.Going into the last set we were 4 – 2 up only requiring 1 game to seal a victory, and as captains do, Spider tasked Doug and Steve to make their game the one that it was to be.  To their credit they done the job and won the match first, which i’m sure inspired the others to win their final matches too, ( although Spider & Mike took it to a tie break to win after being down 5 – 3 ).  

Well done to everyone, and it was great to see young Lee stepping up to the plate for the club in a match situation.
