We love our tennis of course we do.  But we enjoy other things too, and a number of social activities take place during the course of the year, ranging from quizzes to our annual dinner and dance (for a flavour of our annual dinner and dance, follow the link above).

BLUEBELL CHALLENGE MAY 2010

Just to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this event on Sunday.

It was a great turnout of twelve teams, despite the overcast and drizzly start to the day.  Thankfully the weather perked up a bit and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.

We were amazed at how well the youngsters did, with enough energy left to still be running around when they got back.  Highlights for us were the enthusiasm everyone brought to the day and, of course, the photos and video footage of you all looking very daft!

In the end it was a very close run contest with three teams ending on the same score.  Three other  teams, however, excelled and in 1st place with an impressive 67.5 points were Burch and the Burchettes.

Snapping at their heels were Butterflies with 65 points and whose youngsters also spotted the most 'wild' animals.  There were 15 in total! just a hair's breadth behind came Boycies Babes & Blokes with a very credible 64.5 points. Ramsdens Ramblers limped in last with a meagre 43 pts.

(By the way Gizmo, the gremlin has gone missing and is believed to be running wild in the woods. If you spot him please let us know but take care as he can be quite mischievous).

Longest fir cone was also closely contested.  There are two winners here, with equally long cones - The Yardbirds and Boycies Babes and Blokes. Both teams were awarded 2 bonus points.
